Greetings and salutations to those of your who are reading this blog! Some of you may be familiar with my other blog, "Keep Calm and Carry On: Diary of a Student Gourmet," but some of you may not be. In that blog: I post recipes, talk about medicine/nutrition, review restaurants I have visited…essentially, it's me sharing my life with you. This blog is a little bit different.
This blog was started by my father and me. He is an avid whiskey fan, collector, and connoisseur. Because of my father, my knowledge of whiskey (scotch, bourbon, rye, etc…) is wayyy beyond my years. More importantly, by spending time with my father, learning from him and tasting various whiskies with him, I've grown to love it as much as he does! Instead of just sharing my love of food with you all, my father and I thought it would be fun to share our love of whiskey with everyone too!
This blog aims to introduce readers to the world of whiskey. We will talk about specific whiskies (both domestic and international), provide some historical background, and do our best to keep everyone up-to-date on what's hot. Also, if any of you out there want to start tasting whiskey, but are unsure of where to start, we are happy to provide suggestions, so please feel free to ask!
Below are some pictures of our whiskey collection. We have everything from: Scotch to American Malt Whiskey to Bourbon to Rye. Our collection includes bottles from Scotland, America, France, Tazmania, India, Japan, Canada, and much more!
